The screen is good quality, sharp images and 1080p HD definition. The processor is the N3450 Celeron with four cores and a 1.1/2.2GHz clock speed. This gives good battery life, but enough speed for running office applications and for full 1080p HD video playback. This model has 8GB of RAM which is generous and 128GB of eMMC storage which is mean, but acceptable. The storage is partitioned into a C: and a D: drive. The C: drive is just large enough for one Windows 10 installation and one update. however this leaves only 9GB free unless you delete the old OS after updating. This is tight, but again just good enough. The D: drive is 78GB. It makes sense after installation and update to move Videos, Documents, Downloads and Pictures to the D: drive, *before* you put any files into these libraries. That done you have a good working/home computer.It's easy to upgrade storage, there is a small flap on the underside of the laptop secured by a screw. This has an M2 socket for a 2242 SSD card (up to 512GB at present). This is an excellent design that allows a user to upgrade as necessary. There is also a TF card socket for Micro SD cards. There are two USB 3.0 sockets for expansion. WiFi and Bluetooth are built in and give reasonably fast networking. For faster 1Gb/s networking a USB 3.0 adapter is necessary. Mine worked first time and gives much faster network data transfer. There's a headphone socket and a webcam (2MP).That's it. Simple and easy to use.The only negatives are the trackpad which has a matt finish and feels slightly gritty to use, the keyboard and the PSU. The trackpad supports left and right mouse clicks (the review that says it doesn't is incorrect) and gestures for scroll, zoom etc. The keyboard has a good feel and is backlit (use Windows-Esc to turn the backlight on/off). The negative aspect of the keyboard is that it is designed for American layout. This means no £ key. You can change Windows to use UK layout but then you lose the backslash key and the key labels don't all match the characters. e.g. £ is shown as #. You can switch keyboards easily using Windows-Space so it's not a disaster.The PSU is supplied with a Euro (French/Italian) plug and a scary looking adapter for 13A sockets. The good news there is that the PSU uses a standard Telefunken plug for the mains lead so it's easy to buy a replacement lead with a moulded UK plug. The Euro lead is useful when travelling.Well designed, good looking and much cheaper than a MacBook Air (which has a smaller screen). If you don't like Windows it's now possible to run Ubuntu and Mint Linux on the N3450 and it is an easy installation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Build quality ✔️, Crisp/Clear/Bright Screen ✔️, Portable ✔️ *by M***W on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 May 2018* I've done a lot of research into this before deciding to buy it - And I'm glad to say i'm happy with my decision.The most notable thing about this laptop, and that it should be respected for is it's design/build quality, and display. It's an all-metal design - the only plastic resides on the hinge cover and the keys themselves. This means for a non-flexing, very robust build. The display itself is fully laminated, and for indoors - it's very bright and super crisp. Outdoor use is not as great as there's not a reflective coating. But this isn't an issue to me, I can't think of an instance when I've ever used a laptop outside. Ultimately, the build type/size/quality is similar to that as one of the small MacBooks, and without the logo, on the back, this could easily be mistaken as a mac.The laptop itself is nice and thin, with chamfered metallic edges giving it that angular design. Despite it being thin, I/O is solid: 3 USB 3.0 ports, headphone jack, mini HDMI and Micro-SD card slot.I'm currently typing this review on the laptop now with ease - and yep, the keyboard is very pleasant to use. There's a surprising amount of key travel that's present on this laptop despite it being so thin. Keys are well spaced, and the backlit, albeit not quite evenly lit - definitely helps at night.In terms of performance. Out the box, you can tell the ram is great, but the processor is lacking a tad. I read up on this beforehand. I would highly recommend going into the BIOS and disabling the CPU power limit. Yes - this does reduce the battery life a tad, down to about I'd say 4 to 4 and a half hours of normal use, but it's well worth the performance boost. This CPU will never be a killer, as its a Celeron. But I can happily have Spotify, a word document and 4/5 chrome tabs open without much of an issue after I disabled this in the BIOS - which is all I really need to do on this laptop.As standard, the machine comes partitioned with a C and D (Data Partition) of 40gb and 75gb. On the 40gb C drive, there's approximately 12gb free with Windows installed, and the data partition is all empty. I haven't yet, but may in the future, utilize the conveniently placed m.2 SSD slot which you can put one in. I haven't seen this used on any laptops, and it makes perfect sense.
