However, biomats themselves are quite expensive, and I couldn't afford to spend $800+ on one. I found this product and felt it would be a good alternative. I have had it for a few months, and while I love the heat from it, I wonder about the authenticity and quality of the product. I like it because lying on it enables me to sweat which is something I have a very hard time doing on my own and is important since I have MTHFR and do not detox well. However, it had a very strong chemical smell from the moment I opened the package, and this still has not gone away. My friend has an actual biomat, and never experienced this issue with hers. Also, the manual that came along with this mat was written in very, very poor English, with a lot of repetition and improper grammar and spelling. It makes me wonder what level of quality this truly is. I also seem to start to feel unwell after being on it too long, I am very EMF sensitive and have to wonder if these is truly low EMF (when I lie on my friend's biomat, I never feel bad). So, all in all it is nice for the heat and aiding in working up a sweat (and my cats LOOOOOVEEE it!!!)
