Just open up the exandable storage and you got yourself some extra space. The shoe place is also good but it takes place from your main storage place. Honestly, its a decent bag for travelling especially for its value, you can store general stuff, has a place for clothing, shoes, laptop, general stuff, and also passport or wallet at the front. The little zip grips tend to "chime" or clank, or whatever you want to call this slightly annoying metallic noise that they make when you walk with the backpack around. I ended up putting some rubber bands on them to stop the sound. On more expensive bags they take care of this for you.
