I was using Soylent before and must say that I made the switch because of Huel's focus more on quality ingredients than taste. While I did enjoy Soylent's taste more, and the way it prepared with less clumps easier, Huel is the winner for me. It still blends smooth, just takes a little more practice and more vigorous shaking. The taste is not bad, certainly not as sweet, I usually throw a scoop of flavored protein powder in and it is fine for me. The banana is truly, and I mean truly atrocious. The advertisements make Huel look like a thick, creamy substance. It's actually more like a thick, gritty substance. And I don't exactly know why I made this assumption but I thought it would be sweet - especially with the flavor additives that come with the kit. However, even with the additives, this really just tastes like ground up oats.If you care 0% about taste and 100% about filling your stomach on the go, then this would be a great choice. If you love the taste of the banana Laffy Taffy but hate sugar, then banana Huel is the flavor for you.
