I usually walk around the house with no shoes or leather & wool knit mocassin-like type of shoe I've had for 15 years but I can't do it anymore without making myself unable to walk for days at a time. If I wear my leather workboots I'm ok but at home that's just not practical for cleanliness. I bought these on a whim from a comment saying they had plantar fasciitis, and they were right. This softens the heel strike. The arch is strong enough to keep my foot in alignment without being chunky or uncomfortable. I've had them for about 2 months now and am finally healing. So it worked. I still have shoes from 20 years ago that I use, so one pair won't be a big deal. I've considered getting the black version for my other PJs too but will wait to see if I really need them.
