It always comes in a dark green color and strong flavor, and I feel good after taking it. I really do think it is the best, especially for the price and would place my bet on it being the last one to have impurities. **Q: I tried emailing the company for the Certificate of Analysis and they said they couldn't provide it to me. Why is that?** A: Either hiding or they didn't do one at all. Sounds shady; avoid **Q: Can you mix powder with juice?** A: You could. I only ever mix it with water but the packaging advertises a suggested use of putting it in smoothies, so I’m sure juice would be fine. You’d just want to make sure you have a way to adequately blend/mix the powder with the juice. **Q: What juice or fruit will effectively mask the taste of the kale in a smoothie? Hate the taste, but I'm seeking ways to mask it in smoothies. Tips?** A: I've found that adding kale and/or greens and Shrooms mix to chicken bone broth is the best way to mask them. Its good warmed up, and tastes like broth. I even add the powder to my food, such as beef stroganoff or salmon patties. It makes a nice green food tint for St. Patrick's Day! My fruit smoothies and powdered fruit blends taste better on their own, in my opinion. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for meals that aren't too much protein to begin with *by M***E on August 16, 2021* This makes me feel great and I can tell it's healthy, but made my buckwheat pasta with cooked kale much too overwhelming. I eat kale all of the time and it makes you sick if it isn't cooked so that is the only problem I have is I must cook the powder first before adding, as in an onion and garlic mix to be added to noodles after cooking. The nausea I had from eating the powder raw was gone. I disagree with smoothy mixing unless cooked just as with broccoli, you just end up with indigestible vegetable powder that is still indigestible. The smell is earthy and not unpleasant to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WHY I'm giving FIVE STARS - And I've been drinking smoothies for decades *by P***E on December 30, 2020* I like smoothies because easy to make them much more nutrient-DENSE by adding a tsp of different powders.I have used spirulina in smoothies for DECADES. I have tried different additions, some I like better than others.WHY I am giving this Kale powder five stars:NUTRIENTS - I do NOT eat enough greens. I don't know MANY who do that aren't rabbits I LIKE greens, it's getting enough. The fact I can use a tsp of this powder and get the benefits of two cups of KALE (which is not my fav green, even though I know good for me)....THAT'S enough for me. AND I get well over 100% of vitamin K. An important vitamin that isn't in just everything.QUALITY - well-known company. I think the product is quality. I check expiration dates. Check if a powder tastes or smells as I think it should.WHICH brings me to TASTE.TASTE - I see a lot of people complaining re the taste. AND MAYBE they received old product, I don't know. What I DO know is that Kale, especially powdered kale, isn't going to taste like cookies. It tasted more mild than I thought it would, especially as it's a concentrated powder. I DO add to a smoothie. FYI, I use a good protein powder (chocolate flavored), a little over a tsp of both this kale powder and spirulina, frozen fruit (wild blueberries, dark cherries, frozen pumpkin, or a frozen fruit mix), ceylon cinnamon and, optional, a little stevia liquid stevia and/or almond or vanilla extract). TASTES GREAT to me.SMELL - It smelled more mild than I thought it would and didn't smell "bad", like what I thought is should smell like, concentrated powdered kale.PRICE - Great price for how many servings and the quality.ONE CON: But not enough for me to lower review. I would put the bag inside a baggie and seal. I notice the seal on the package not that strong, but I find that WITH MANY food items, powders. Often the bag can open, so I either close best I can and then put that bag into baggie with a good seal or dump the powder into a baggie to make sure I'm getting a good seal. OR you could put in another container with a good seal.BOTTOMLINE - I plan to keep adding to my smoothies, just like I always add spirulina. But do your own research. I bought this so I can get more veggies into my diet and start doing kale shakes daily without having to buy bags and bags of kale at the store. I went in expecting it not to be sweet but was not expecting the overwhelming smell and taste. I put it in a smoothie and it just taste bitter from the powder. Nothing that a little stevia couldn't fix and ended up enjoying my ass juice for the day. If you want straight organic kale without having to blend it everyday and have chunky smoothies then this is the best way I have found.
