I've tried Cabela's cameras, Aqua-Vu and other brands, and this camera is a great alternative, especially for the price. The picture is color (9 inch), and it's the clearest of any camera I've ever used. The carrying case (a mini "suitcase") is also very convenient, takes up very little space compared to other cameras, and will protect the camera during travel either on or off the ice.I've purchased both the 7 inch and 9 inch color versions of this camera and they work great. The only downfall on the 9 inch camera is that the battery did not last quite as long (only about 5 hours). The 7 inch camera battery has performed very well (full day of use; 8-9 hours). We think it may just be a bad battery. The good news is that customer service has been great and is working with us on the battery issue. The other good news is that a battery swap in the middle of the day with this camera is super easy; no bolts, screws, or taking things apart. Just unclip the terminal ends and attach to your backup battery and you are back in business. The camera housing and lens are substernal and tough. The carrying case is durable and the entire kit is extremely portable and the 9" video screen makes watching footage live or in playback mode easy for all. I have used the camera successfully to view fish activity, and to find personal items that were dropped and lost 30' deep at the bottom of the lake. I recommend the longer 50M camera cord. I thought the 30M length would plenty of depth but the camera is good enough to go deeper. without loosing video quality Great product and good purchase for the price. Tina was responsive to my emails, answering product questions thoroughly, in a timely manner, and even followed up to confirm my satisfaction with the product. Great service!
