Review: Great product. - I laid Indian stone and a lot of rust came through which spoilt the look. I was wanting to speed up the weeping coming through. You can get this depending on your Indian stone. This did speed it up allowing the sealing process to happen as planned a year later. Review: Voldemort has nothing on this. It is magic stuff - I had loads of stains on my new smooth Indian Sandstone Patio. Caused by Miracle Gro which is a common complaint. Miracle Gro is a fertiliser and it has Iron Phosphate in it. Iron Phosphate is I believe acidic and this left yellow spots where grains of Miracle Gro fell on the slabs. Worse, walked across the patio carrying these same grains on my shoes and left big footmarks all over the patio. I could have wept. Anyway, sprayed the effected area (there was a lot) with water, applied Rust Off and nothing happened, then the yellow areas went a bright purple, left if for 5 minutes and then washed it off with lots of water. I was disappointed, yellow marks gone but lighter marks remained. Better than before but I had hoped for more. Anyway, when indoors and came out later and the marks were all gone. Amazing. I got through the Litre quickly but then started applying the spots with a brush as opposed to pouring the stuff out. This made it go a lot further. But I have purchased more as I ran out and I think this is a good thing to have available in case this happens again although I am no longer going to apply a grain type fertiliser to my lawn, I will use a liquid type and apply with a watering can with a rose and work away from the patio. UPDATE: Ran out so purchased a cheaper brand and it was nowhere near as good. It did work in places but I had to use a lot more of the stuff so a false economy really. Can you use it in a spray bottle?** A: It’s too thick for spraying . The area I got from I bottle was about 3 m square. I found that using a tooth brush and target the stains spreads the product further, although you will get lighter bleached out areas, so beware, to get round this just put a thin layer over the whole area afterwards and should match in. Also doesn’t harm grass and plants so a real bonus. I’ve tesred this product and it’s the only one that does the job. **Q: will it work on expensive porcelain patio tiles? I have large rust marks from a metal plant pot. How is it used? Thank you** A: Yes this will, just apply and leave, the gel reacts and then wipe clean. Really effective and easy to use, thanks. **Q: Hi I have newly laid Indian sandstone with rust marks from iron reinforced bars from garden which were left on them. Will it remove them without stain** A: I should think do. I had rust stains from the feet of iron garden furniture and it removed them without stain. The process is a bit scary as it turns purple but this disappears once you wash it off. If the stains are very bad, it might take a couple of treatments.
