Perfect fit for my listed garage door

*by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2023*

TL;DR fit the door it said it would, easy to install, true to length, sealed nicely.I had read a bunch of reviews and kind of dreaded doing this job, but it ended up being almost trivial. I raised my door up to about head height which also was just above one the mounting brackets so it wouldn't be in the way. My existing door seal had a screw at each end driven through the track to hold the seal in place. I marked the locations of the screws with a pencil and removed them. The existing seal came out fairly easily although I did have to fight it on one end because the screw had compressed the slot against the rubber. Once removed I sprayed the slots with Silicone Lubricant and fed it in from the end with the less mangled track. I formed the seal into a U to guide it in with one hand and pushed it along with the other. I found pushing the seal along from the first foot or two of the door much easier than pulling because without guiding the seal into the track with one hand it would catch on the end of the track. If you had two people then it would be pretty easy to have one person pull the seal along while the other forms the U and guides it level into the door. I had to pull with pliers for the last few inches because the track was a bit mangled on the far end. I reinstalled the screw on the far end and then went back and pulled a little tension to cut off the excess (pretty much the exact amount it was oversized). I reinstalled the second screw, lowered the door, and it was sealed to perfection.

Amazingly easy $20 fix for 16-foot garage door

*by H***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020*

Product installed VERY easily after following the advice given by other reviewers. Quality seems very good. For easiest install, you'll want to do ALL of the following advised by others - you'll spend 5 minutes on prep, but will turn this into a 5-minute installation, so 10 minutes total. The width of the T is 5/16 inches. Before you order this item, cut off a little piece from the end of your existing seal rubber and make sure it's also 5/16 inches. Once you receive the item:1) unroll and make sure they sent you the correct length (ideally it will be 2 to 4 inches longer than what you ordered) - I had to order the 20-foot length for my 16-foot door;2) fill a bucket with soapy water and submerge the roll while you perform the steps 3 through 7;3) push the button to open the garage door then push it again to stop it at a good working height (note: you can't stop it on its way down as it will reverse direction and open back all the way, so you have to stop it on its way up);4) use a utility knife to slit your old rubber seal down the middle the entire length;5) remove the old rubber seal (now-cut-in-two down the middle) by sliding it out one end of the metal track;6) run a stiff wire brush down the now-bare metal track to remove dirt and debris so you have a clean track;7) spray WD-40 along the inside of both T-shaped metal tracks;8) now insert the new rubber seal (while it's still wet and soapy) at the end of the door that has more room to work (form a U shape with the rubber with the ribbed surface on the outside) and insert the two T-shaped ends into the track - push about 8 inches into the track (it helps to have a second person to pull the inserted end);9) form the U shape with the next 8 inches of rubber and push that through;10) repeat until the rubber seal is 2 inches PAST the end of the door, then fold that end "in on itself"; this will help secure it into position, plus gives you flexibility if the rubber shrinks over time;11) with the far end already folded in, return to the original end that you fed it into the track and cut the rubber seal so that it is 2 inches longer than that end of the door, then fold that end in on itself like you did the other end
