It fits my 14 inch Dutch oven easily, and keeps it from getting other things around it dirty (from the ash and coals and oil on the outside of it). It’s not meant to keep a hot Dutch oven hot, it’s more for storing and transporting a cold Dutch oven. The straps cross cross underneath and help give the bag a good amount of support, although it’s not as sturdy as it looks in the original picture (the inside would need thicker padding to hold its shape better).
