In Pennsylvania, these small bottles usually cost about $3 a pop, which is expensive to me considering they don't last very long between my girlfriend and me. In total, I paid about $28 for this jug including the shipping (the $8 in shipping fee is a bit high to me) which works out to be at least a $10 savings in the long run, not to mention the time saves in grocery trips. If you've never tried the chipotle version of Tabasco, I highly recommend trying it, unless you just plain don't like hot sauce. This variety is quite different than the standard Tabasco; it tones down the heat quite a bit, while increasing the flavor in its place. Because of this, you will likely want to apply more of this chipotle sauce to a dish than you would regular Tabasco. After trying this for the first time a few years ago, it managed to shoot to the top of not only my hot sauce list but my girlfriend's as well. It seems to go good on just about anything I've tried it on; definitely Mexican, eggs and cooked veggies but surprisingly well with meats too. I even enjoy a touch of it as a steak sauce to spice things up a bit. **Q: I've read that if you spray a diluted solution of this along your property lawn, dogs will avoid peeing there.  Anyone heard this?**
A: I heard it works great for getting rid of rabbits on your your lawn and around vegetable plants. I am about to find out.

**Q: Does this product need refrigeration once opened?**
A: No...I've had mine for 6 months...its 2/3rd's still full and is good to go...looks a bit darker but so does the bottle in fridge. Just another lil helper..I didn't have small bottle so I took an old (10 oz?) glass coke bottle (with a plastic screw on cap) then poked a small hole in the top and she works fine!! Now for something really weird....for the first month or so I was kinda spooning it out as needed and it didnt taste quite as good as when you shake it on...honest...sounds weird I know but to my taste buds....true story.

**Q: Anyone know of a 3rd party pump to fit the 64oz?**
A: Order the Cholula pump here on Amazon. It fits this half gallon bottle as well.

**Q: How long does it last? Typical expiration time?**
A: We finally just finished our bottle after 7 years and 8 months. It tastes just as good as ever. As you use it, the top of the bottle will get coated with a little bit of sauce that sticks, and over time turns kind of brown. Honestly, it looks questionable, but it is fine.

We have been using this product for quite awhile and we love it. It tastes excellent on any meat. It's an excellent blend which maintains the traditional Tabasco flavor, but not overpowering with HEAT. This is our second 1\2 gallon jug after using many bottles of it before we found out about the 1\2 to 1 gallon jugs. This way, we don't have to worry about running out as quickly. I'm telling you, we really EAT this stuff. I'm telling you guys and gals, this stuff is awesome. Don't just take my word for it. If you haven't already, try it for yourself. Best I or we've ever tried. No, this is not an AD for them, and trust me, we get nothing in return for it. Just being as honest as one can be. Get you some.
