No decrease. I would not recommend this brand. I ordered 3 bottles,received 2 bottles and had to email them to get the 3rd. I am not sure about products that promise free bottles for your review. Reviews should be done on factual basis. For this to claim to be a high potency formula you would think that my ALT levels would have decreased after using this for a little over a month. Combined with juicing to cleanse my liver and eating organic! However, my father was diagnosed with Hepatitis A, and his doctor said he has had it for possibly decades before it started showing symptoms in his liver. He went through the treatment, but the treatment was not successful in eradicating the virus. His liver function is good right now though, and we want it to stay that way. Because most people are cured with the treatment available for my dad's strain of Hep A, there aren't a lot of alternative treatments. So we switched to a maintenance plan, so that he hopefully will not have liver function issues in the future. I researched milk thistle and then purchased these capsules for my father. In some studies, this stuff improves liver function, but in at least one study it did not. You also need to tell your doctor and pharmacist that you are taking these because sometimes it can interact with other medicines you take. But I thought that the possible benefits outweighed any possible risk, and my dad's doctor agreed. He has not had any negative side effects and his liver function continues to be great. It might have been great anyway without taking the milk thistle, but we'll never know.
