I have a Dell Inspiron 11 3147 and it has been my favorite laptop for the last 3 years. I misplaced my old charger but my wife had an XPS 13 with a similar charger. Everything was fine. Not long after that, the charger stopped working, giving me an error saying that it can't charge due to being an incorrect adapter. It did allow me to use the laptop if it is always plugged in but giving me errors every minute saying it was the wrong adapter. That dance went on for a year and I got tired of it. So I abandoned the laptop in the corner of my house. I searched through all the forums to see if there a solution, but all methods didn't work. I've tried other adapters but they also didn't work. I decided to try a leap of faith and purchased this adapter and long and behold, it is charging and no errors. Finally I am able to use my laptop again. Thank you.

I don't know how many replacement AC power adapters I've been through for my aging Dell laptop, but this is the first one I've bought in recent memory that hasn't failed within the first couple of months (hoping I haven't just jinxed myself!). It appears that the "unrecognized AC adaptor type" error message others have described in their reviews is a commmon one with these computers but I find it only happens to me if this adapter comes partially out of its jack. As soon as I push it back in all the way, the warning message disappears and the battery continues charging. I suspect this is a much better replacement adapter than the ones I've bought previously from another company through Amazon ...and I paid quite a bit less for it too. We'll see how it's still performing after a few months, but so far so good!!

Our computer hasn’t worked for many years due to not being able to locate our charger. We ordered this charger as it matched our computer and was a perfect fit! Computer is running perfectly and Santa doesn’t have to purchase a new computer for our growing Children! Product arrived quickly and in perfect condition! Thanks so much for a great product!

REASONABLE PRICE AND SO FAR IT'S WORKING

This is the 2nd cord I've purchased. They work well for a pretty good while & then my 2n1 stops recognizing it so I order a new one.

Works much better than the original brand name adapter which was flawed from the time of purchase. I had concerns since this was not labeled as with the laptop's brand name, but it works perfectly and solve several issues including failing to charge and not be recognized as a valid adapter by the laptop. This charges my laptop in minimum time and was immediately recognized by the laptop. Price was far better than the inferior original adapter.

I needed a 65W AC power supply for a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 laptop that I purchased online. I came right over to Amazon, looked for a replacement, and ordered this adapter. I received the power supply a couple of days later. It was exactly what I needed and works like a charm. As soon as I connected the power supply, I was able to complete Microsoft's Recovery procedure to delete any data left from the previous owner, and refresh the operating system. While it was doing that, the adapter charged the Inspiron's battery giving me the choice to use it on battery power or on AC power.

Description is very misleading. AC adapter is identical looking to Dell adapter but is not compatible if your want the battery to hold a charge. I almost replaced the battery thinking it was bad. After $75 in computer diagnostics the overheating, "bad battery", or rainbow screen and beeping were all caused by THIS adapter. DELL has a special limiter sensor in all their computers that will only accept specifically DELL adapters. Please don't steer people wrong. THIS IS NOT A DELL charger, it is a fake, does not charge, just powers and causes other issues.
