The shade appears more gray in the photo, but it is actually a light gray with a brownish undertown. It works well for me and I am happy with my purchase. The lamps are substantial, easy to assemble, and a great value.
Review: Nice accent to the room - These lamps are nice quality and easy to assemble. They are a nice accent to the bedroom and change the feel in a better way then the lamps they replaced. It’s not very noticeable but one of the lamps, at the point of pieces going together, is slightly off and a slight lean. No one else noticed, but with how detailed I am I did.

After much research I got these lamps. I am not sorry!!! They are more beautiful in person. I was concerned that due to the shade being grey the room might be dark...not true. With the right light bulb the room gets enough light. Overall great experience.
