It takes less than 10mins to warm up the room when I first light the heater. When it’s cold a bottle of gas will last us 1-1.5 weeks when very very cold it last s 1 week. It’s on from 7.30 - 4 pm on one or two bars. With this I can control my spending.Something to note if you're considering purchasing a Calor gas heater, is that at the moment YOU CANNOT BUY A NEW CALOR GAS BOTTLE. So you either need to already have a bottle, or buy a used one so that you can swap it for a new bottler. I didn't know this and it's been a real mission getting a used a bottle, they're in serious demand.Heat wise - I'm only heating a small room, about 4m x 4m, I blasted it on full for about 10 mins before realising I was slowly cooking myself. Turning it down to 1 seems to be just right, but it is only October, come Jan / Feb it might be on full.I can't fault the heater, simple to use, connect the bottle and light it up. On carpet moving it around with the bottle inside isn't the easiest, but not a real problem for me.It has built in safety devices should the monoxide levels get too high, but I'd also recommend having a monoxide alarm in the same room just in case, though at 4.1kW max it should be fine unless you're using it in a really tiny room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Instant warmth and ideal portable heater *by T***N on 14 February 2021* We are very pleased with this portable calor gas heater. We use it during the day to keep the back conservatory/ lean-to warm and help reduce the cold dampness. It warms very quickly and easy to manoeuvre should we need to as it is on castors. Lights first time mostly and we have a warm comfortable room within 5 to 10 mins of lighting it. It certainly takes the chill off the recent bitterly cold snowy days and cosy for the dogs! 🐕 good value for money and only need it on first setting. I think we would cook if left on the higher settings. Ideal instant heater highly recommend and fast delivery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Goodbye summer!❄ *by M***W on 15 October 2020* Bought this to heat a log cabin in the garden.The unit arrived swiftly and in perfect condition.Once the 13kg Butane cannister is inserted the unit is ready to go.Instructions are simple enough and the unit fired up and worked as it should.Only slight quirk is the unit can onlybe turned off by the regulator which is perfectly fine when you are shutting the unit down but a bit of a pain when yiu just want to turn the unit off fow a few minutes!When leaving the unit you should always turn the regulator off i accept but would be nice to be able to stop the unit which the heaters cintrols!As for heat, it kicks out a lot of heat and works as well as i expected.There is smell being given off but i am sure (hoping!) it's because the unit has been used for the first time.ALWAYS use a Co2 detector when using ANY gas appliance indoors, the unit has an oxygene depletion switch that apparently shuts the unit down should oxygene levels drop but a quality Co2 detector is a must.
