## Description

I marudo mill in the heart of the Po Valley, at the gates of Sant'Angelo Lodigiano; It was to Peter Scotti, who in 1860 founded the Riso Scotti. At the time it was a farm dedicated to the collection of raw rice from local farmers for whom Mr Scotti works corn that sells to third parties. Agriculture in those years of the century is one of the main resources and economic activities of the population. In 1890, his son Ercole Scotti will move on to Villanterio Roggia Mulina, establishing the first headquarters of the company a total area of   1,200 square meters. Angelo and Gaetano Scotti, two of the eight sons of Mr. Hercules, following his father's footsteps, assisting with taking care of the transport of rice, begin the development of the company from individual to society in fact, with the name "Scotti Brothers" based in Villlanterio. As a result of changes in production occurred with technological innovation, the company is able to gradually increase the processing and transformation of rice and, by craftsmanship that was, soon became industrial structure. In 1953 Ferdinand Scotti, Angelo's son, and buys an old mill and rice mill in Torretta in Pavia, the dismantling, the modernized and moved the company headquarters to Villanterio in Pavia.
