To me, this is the perfect no frills light that just works. Nice and bright - not quite as tight of a hot spot as some lights but still plenty to reach out. Good quality/feeling tail cap switch. Oh, and the body is just about 1" and should fit well in a scope ring if you wanted to mount the light. The threaded sections have nicely cut threads and are sealed with "O" rings. The "pocket" clip has a bit to be desired but the light is a bit on the large side for carrying clipped to the pocket anyway. I'm running some reclaimed 1800mAh batteries from from a laptop cell and I'm easily getting a couple hours run time.
