I typically buy cases for my electronics in this price range. I often expect them to be somewhat flimsy or mediocre in quality. That didn't happen here. This cover far-surpasses my expectation, especially for the price. The case itself feels really nice in the hands, the edges are grippy and the back is smooth. It's quite slim and doesn't add really any bulk. The Apple Pencil holder is snug with some give so removing the pencil requires the right amount of pressure, there is no risk of the pencil falling out on its own. I bought the clear/charcoal color and it matches the Smart Keyboard perfectly. I'm so happy with this case that I plan on buying the one without the apple pencil holder for times that I am using my Apple Leather Sleeve. I never had an Apple product before. I ordered the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil, not realizing how much of the time I would want the Pencil nearby. This holds the Pencil so safely and well that at first I had a hard time getting it out, but that is better than losing the Pencil! Then I worked out that I can just dig out the point with my fingernail, and it will come on out. I am not fearful of the Pencil dropping out somewhere and it is always handy. I like that the bumper edges of the case provide some corner protection to the iPad, and make it more comfortable to hold, while still displaying the elegant back of the space gray iPad.
