I previously used some cycling gloves because I already had them and they were effective but added extra warmth and coverage I didn't need. These are stylish (a little pink but not enough to feel overly "girly"), extremely easy to put on and take off (thanks to the little fabric tabs on the fingers), durable, and, most of all, comfortable, I have average sized hands with fairly long fingers (and what I thought were long palms, but apparently not unusually long) and usually wear a medium or large glove when there are sizes to choose. These are just the right size for me - and I even have chubby fingers at the moment! The Velcro allows all the size flexibility I need. I may buy another pair so I'm never without them while they're bring washed.
