I was planning to go for either M30X or Sony MDR7506, but chose those for the following reasons 1). Foldability. 2). Detachable cable (2 type of cables come in bag) 3). Good fit for my head. MDR7506 did not fit well on my head. I'd however say that I liked the sound on Sony's as they have better high ends (some say high-ends are boosted).
