The fittings actually look like brass rather than brass colored zinc alloy. The showcase pictures do not do the saya justice, it looks far better in person. The one and ONLY gripe I have about this sword is how tight the koiguchi was, but it's nothing a little filing work can't fix and I know a technique in draw the blade out even as tight as it originally was without damaging the saya or the blade. Hand made seems like a stretch, it says it was made in China and definitely gives was made on an assembly line vibes. It doesn’t come with the display in the pictures or a cover for the handle. It looks like the handle is made mostly of some sort of hard plastic.
