This product features a 60mm dia neodymium clamping pot magnet with an aluminium handle. The Pot magnet base is 14.5mm tall from the magnetic face of the magnet to the thickest part of the magnet. These Magnets are plated with 3 layers of protective coatings - Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni). Each magnet can support a steel weight of up to 110kg vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness to the magnet. Each magnet can also support up to 22kgs in a shear position before beginning to slide down a steel surface under the same conditions. The NORTH pole is on the centre of the pot magnet front face and the SOUTH is on the outer edge around it (both poles are on the same face). These magnets can be fixed in place using a Clamping Magnet and have a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees C. These magnets have been specially designed for diving applications. This product was the end result of a product development process with our customers who regularly dive... this product has rapidly become a popular tool within the diving community. The strong neodymium pot magnet will easily and quickly attach to underwater ferrous surfaces allowing a diver to safely attach themselves to a point. The diver can then easily remove the magnet by pulling on the handle - this gives you a greater leverage on the clamping magnet than normal.
