I travel internationally often, and do my best to carry on my luggage as much as possible. Having a suitcase lost when you are outside the US isn't a minor inconvenience, it takes DAYS to get your bag back. Many airlines have changed the maximum allowable size of carry on suitcases, which had me concerned i would be forced to start checking luggage. I bought these bags in an attempt to keep using my old and trusty carry on for as long as possible. I have used them twice in the past month to travel to Northern Europe for work, and i was very impressed on how well they work. I estimate the bags gained about 50% more room in my suitcase. The bags are sturdy, and should last a long time if taken care of. Certainly, you would not put sharp or odd shaped stuff in the bag and over stress the material. The suction motor works great, pulls every molecule of air out of the bag and charges from a standard USB-C cable. My only negative would be the suction motor is very loud. I ended up putting a pillow over the motor when packing in a hotel room as to not disturb my neighbors! A lesson I learned the first time using the bags was to fold your hanging clothes carefully. Did not the first time and had to do a lot of steaming at my destination. The second use I folded the clothes more carefully and it reduced the wrinkles quite a bit. Hanging clothes will not come out of the bags ready to wear, i can live with that.
