Review: WOW!!! This product is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! - I haven't taken the product as per package instructions yet. Most days I only remember to take 3 tablets once a day and also, because it needs to be taken 45 minutes before you eat, I wasn't getting up early enough to allow for that. What works for me is keeping it by my bedside and taking it when I get up during the night. I wasn't sure that it would do anything at all. However, this product is the only explanation I have for the dramatic improvement in my health, pain level, and vitality. I have been disabled with systemic osteoarthritis since 2009. I was beginning to get some of my life back when in October I fell and injured a disc in my sacrum. Five days later the nerves in my right leg were attacked by the shingles from the back of my waist right down to my toes. In March I stopped eating anything made with wheat and that dramatically lowered inflammation everywhere in my body and that helped with a great deal of the pain I was experiencing. But I was slow and changes in the weather affected me negatively. I was beginning to improve this summer, getting some strength and mobility back. Every burn mark on my leg and foot has a mind of its own as well as whatever I do physically affects the injured disc. After a couple days of taking just 3 tablets/day I noticed an increased lessening of pain everywhere. Much more than I noticed after a couple months of no wheat. After a week, I began having boundless energy! I used to have to rest every couple of hours and put my leg up. Now my recovery time is negligible. I had arthritic nodules on top of the arch of both of my feet, making it extremely painful to walk very far (a block). It was debilitating and frustrating. Today, I was actually able to put on a pair of sneakers and walk around a couple blocks with NO after effects. I was diagnosed with end-stage arthritis of my left knee and though walking on the sidewalk starts to get a little uncomfortable, on the grass it doesn't bother me at all. Review: "CURE" for fibromyalgia/lyme/yeast/ibs/thyroid/perimenopause/etc... - I am writing this review after 4 months on a new regime in which Wobenzym is a key factor. I have been diagnosed with "fibromyalgia/lyme/yeast/ibs/thyroid/perimenopause", etc... I am 46 and have spent the last 5 years visiting over a dozen doctors, having unending tests and paying thousands of dollars out of pocket. I have seen traditional doctors and naturopathic doctors, and have tried everything from acupuncture to ingesting magma, cortisone shots to adderall. In the end nothing helped my never ending joint pain in my hips and shoulders, my intestinal problems, extensive swelling all over and breast pain, and foggy brain and vision. FINALLY however, I seem to have stumbled on the combination that has slowly and surely been balancing my body and turning back the clocks. Instead of feeling 60+ as I have for the last few years, I have started feeling like my "old self". I have had far more energy and have been able to start running, my pain in my shoulders and hips is essentially gone, my GI issues seem resolved (I have been able to occasionally been able to eat wheat, sugar and dairy which I haven't been able to eat for years), and I have actually been able to back up 4 levels on my reading glasses! The solution seems to be threefold, and makes sense overall, as all the systems involved in the problems are involved in the solutions. A few weeks later I started up a combo of Wobenzym and Dr. Ohhira's probiotics Essential Formulas Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics, Original Formula , which seemed to me like they may address my remaining symptoms. I have continued to use this trio, and have been BLOWN AWAY by the results!!! I definitely move backwards if I stop any of them, but bit by bit I have been able to get totally off of most of my other supplements including adrenal and thyroid. I am sleeping better and have far more energy. The strangest thing is that my body seems to be looking more like it used to, like going back in time. I have had some complications with taking both the Wobenzym and the Dr. Ohhira as they both need to be taken alone, away from any food. And they both certainly have the ability to cancel each other out as well. So I have moved toward taking 4 Wobenzyms on waking with the pill as they seem to be somewhat energizing. Then I take 4 again a few hours later and then again maybe early afternoon. I can't seem to take them later in the day as they make me feel a little hyped and I can't sleep. Then I take 2 or 3 Dr. Ohhira at bedtime, far after dinner, giving them overnight to work. I know they say to use it twice a day but can't fit that in. The threefold "cure" seems to be resolving problems in my gut (always primary, but no other probiotic has ever really helped!), yeast issues, joint issues, overall inflammation, as well as hormones and brain functions. My whole body finally feels like its getting balanced and my future feels a lot brighter. The Wobenzym and Dr. Ohhira are not cheap, and in the long run I will definitely take a punch in the wallet but the solution is far better than spending the money on countless supplements, tests and doctors that didn't make a dent in the problem. **Q: I was told NOT to buy the newer version of the supplement and to stick to the OLD formula by Douglas Lab's..is there really a difference?**
A: I'm in Canada, and the first bottle of Wobenzym N I bought at my local Natural supplement store was by Douglas Lab's. That was what is available here, and it was very expensive. Then I found out that I could order it on line from the United States for less than half the price.  The distributor is Garden of Life but I ordered it twice on a deal through Amazon Marketplace, which showed me various providers, and I chose the cheapest provider.  To answer your question, I found both products to be the same. For me Wobenzym N from Garden of Life seems to provide the same level of joint care and healing as the one from Douglas Lab's.  I hope this is helpful for you.

**Q: Is this suitable for vegans? (No animal derived products, by products or testing)**
A: It depends what you mean by "suitable". It's definitely not vegan, as some of the enzymes are derived from animals. If you're vegan due to allergies to animal based foods, it's for sure not suitable! Otherwise I guess it's your choice.

**Q: Just bought the 800 count bottle & bottle a weird strong smell almost like ammonia.  Never noticed it before in 3+ years of use. Is odor normal?**
A: It smells like "cat urine" -- you know; the cat box.  Deal with it -- 'cause this stuff really works !!!  I'm 67 and I've been using it for over 8 years -- and I'm now a believer.  When I DON'T use it, the "arthritis" symptoms bother me in both hands, especially the knuckles.  But when I use it -- the discomfort disappears in 3-4 days and I regain full range of motion in my hands and grip strength.  GREAT STUFF and well worth the money.  I'm a customer FOREVER !!

**Q: why does everyone say this isn't legit?  I have a bottle here and it says "made in Germany."**
A: When Garden of Life took over the distribution of Wobenzym N in the USA, we reviewed the product ingredients and Mucos Pharma (the manufacturer) re-worked the “other ingredients” to deliver a Wobenzym N formula that fits into Garden of Life’s philosophies and principles. 

Keeping the original Active Ingredients was of extreme importance because of the clinical data behind them. Mucos Pharma is still the manufacturer of Wobenzym N and the product is still made in Germany. 

The ingredients which were removed included: Calcium phosphate, Corn polysaccharides, Microcrystalline cellulose, Crospovidone, Polyethylene glycol, Silica, pH resistant enteric coating, Magnesium silicate, and Triethyl citrate. 

The new, cleaner tablet is made using cellulose, vegetable-based enteric coating, vegetable stearate, natural vanilla flavor and purified water.

I hope the above information helps shed some light on the product formula change.

I haven't taken the product as per package instructions yet. Most days I only remember to take 3 tablets once a day and also, because it needs to be taken 45 minutes before you eat, I wasn't getting up early enough to allow for that. What works for me is keeping it by my bedside and taking it when I get up during the night. I wasn't sure that it would do anything at all.
