Durable and sanitary 18/8 Stainless steel construction will not rust, tarnish or stain and will not leak harmful chemicals. The SlickSteel finish interior resists corrosion and repels stains. Tight -fitted lid has a gasket that seals lid to minimize leaks and maximize heat retention. It has a unique lid designed with a vent that allows users to release the pressure inside to make the lid easier to open when the food jar contains hot foods or beverages. A wide opening of 2.75 inches makes it easy to fill and clean and allows user to Eat directly out of the jar.

Have several of these Zojirushi food jars and thermos’s from 12 years ago. They are still like new and effective for keeping the hot foods hot. We needed one more for daughter’s school and got this one. Seems a bit pricey but in the long run is great value for the money. SHe loves this color, the lid closure is snug, no leakage and fits perfectly in her school lunch bag.
