Mine arrived with a bag of plastic plug butterflys as an extra presumably because of the reviews saying the back was loose. If you put one on behind the fixed silver butterfly once attached to the stud pearl post it keeps them secure. As someone else has said, these are essentially 2 earrings in one and I've worked out that you can attach the bottom pearl to any stud earrings you already have for a different look - if you want to of course. That might be obvious but I didn't realise until I saw how they work! I've got some 10cm real grey pearl studs and the floating bottom pearl from these looks really good with them.
