**Q: I have a padlock with a 5mm diameter shackle. Will it fit in the loop of this box when the hasp is in place?**
A: A 5mm lock will unfortunately not fit. The loop itself would fit a lock with around 5-6mm, but when closing the chest there is not enough space because of the metal flap. There is however a suitable padlock included with 3 keys (see pictures). If you prefer using our own padlock it should not exceed 4mm in diameter.

However, the chest should not be seen as a secure safe and if someone uses a lot of force or with appropriate tools the chest could be opened. If you have further questions please feel free to ask.
