Jurassic World Real Feel Mosasaurus

This is the best Mosasaur toy i have ever seen, and one of the coolest creatures to ever grace the Jurassic toys. But disclaimer it is NOT intended for water use. This toy is big and to scale of what a typical Mosasaur would grow in comparison to the rest of the Mattel line. But would need to be 5ft+ long to compare to the movie. As it sits its about 2 1/2ft. Big, but not super colossal trex size. Good size for play, but i wouldnt complain if there was a super colossal mosasaurus that eats hasbros Jurassic toys to never be seen again. Out of the box you will need to install the fins and tail. The fins move in multiple directions, but the tail is fixed unfortunately. The fins are tough enough to hold its weight. There are no "action" functions or sounds. Simple mouth open close. The hard rubber "skin" seems durable; the toy is well painted and detailed. With the exception of its eyes that are a simple pastel with pupil. It even has details on the roof of its mouth. This is a simple big toy. Looks cool and is priced right at $30. For a kid this thing is great just the right size; for an adult who wants a model or collects because they refuse to grow up its very good too. Cant lie, i bought for my boys but i "slightly" want it too. I can see why this thing keeps selling out. Mattel is making toys kids and adults alike actually want. Even the box shows it eating a shark like the movie. Such great attention detail.

This has a very strong chemical odor taking it out of the box. It does dissipate when you air it out however. The stomach of it is hollow and you can actually squeeze it. It’sa hard rubber/plastic feeling material. The tail is solid and does not move. But the fins do. The mouth opens and closes. This thing is massive. It was easy to put together. The mouth does have openings in the back where water could get into, so I do worry about the potential of mold growing inside the hollow inside (like those giraffe Toys they were found to harvest mold) but I don’tsee anyone else post issues with that. Overall I think it’s worth it for the price and is honestly the best looking and coolest mosasaurous I’ve seen.

The gift arrived in original packaging in a plastic bag inside the Amazon box. Not a single scratch, nick or dint! Looking at the pictures did not prepare me for how cool this thing is! First off, it’s huge. Second, it’s hefty! The toy feels well made and durable! It says it’s real feel and I guess that’s true if you actually think about how soft a dinosaur would be (lol) but I was expecting a more rubber feel than a hard plastic feel. It has “give” but it’s not like silicone. I would compare it to one of those dog toys that are hard but crunch when you squeeze it. I would say it’s worth the price and my nephew will be very happy to get it!

It’s big. Good scale to go with indominus Rex. My 3yr old likes to recreate the battle scene at the end of Jurassic world. This is perfect. Wish I would’ve bought it when it was $30 (regular retail price). $50 is a bit steep for a dinosaur toy. I guess it’s worth it because he loves it to much. The body of the Dino is squishy plastic like a bath squirt toy, not hard plastic like other Jurassic world dinos. Same quality of Jurassic world toys that we have come to expect. Nice detail, not too scary but just ferocious enough. He will enjoy having it in the bath tub with him too!

We got this for my nephew's birthday, and boy did it make him happy! It required a bit of assembly out of the box, which we managed to do just fine in our restaurant at Downtown Disney where we had met for his birthday lunch, so it wasn't too tough. It is a pretty big toy, but fine for him to handle as he was turning 6. My 3-year-old managed to hold and play with it as well, but ultimately probably would have been a little too big for him, especially to carry around for longer periods of time. Very real feel and nicely made! A big hit for this dinosaur-lover.

The dino was perfect in size and looked very realistic my grandson said that it even goes in the water! So of course that was a definite plus as well
