Series PLT tanks feature a pre-pressurized steel tank with an expansion membrane that prevents contact of the water with the air in the tank. This prevents loss of air to the water and ensures long and trouble-free life for the system. These tanks may be used with all types of Direct Fired Hot Water Heaters (gas, oil or electric) and hot water storage tanks. IAPMO listed and ANSI/NSF 61 certified. Maximum Pressure: 150psi (10 bar). Review: OEM. Worked Just Fine! Review: I wasn't sure if this would work, we've had banging pipes for a long time. Well... it absolutely eliminated ALL the banging pipes in my house. We have a front loading washing machine and for 8 years we could tell from anywhere in the house that the washing machine was running. Once I installed this expansion tank, my wife had to go back to the laundry room twice to make sure the washer was actually running. Even I couldn't believe it was working so well. So simple to install but make sure you put enough wraps of teflon tape around the joint. I only put three and had to go back and redo it with 8 to stop a minuscule drip. Also, it can be heavy when half filled with water, make sure you have built a sturdy base. I don't know why they can't weld a bracket to hang these from right on the tank??
