The best/worst way to describe it is it tasted like corn bread, but not even good corn bread. The texture was weird. The batter itself had this off taste so it didn’t leave me with high hopes at all… Not even the icing could save it sadly. It went in the trash. Next time I’m not cutting corners I’m just going to make a vegan cake from scratch, which is what I’m recommending to you. Or try another brand, this was a waste of money and it was not cheap!! I have used homemade almond milk as well as a can of low fat coconut milk and both times it was SO good (a little moister with the coconut milk)! This is now my go-to cake whenever I want a birthday cake - I can eat birthday cake again, which is so exciting. I frosted it with the Miss Jones vegan vanilla frosting.
