They are thick enough so when doing silverware, they won't puncture the glove. They are long enough, not to get water in them. The fit is perfect for me. They are comfortable also. I feel that these are probably some of the best kitchen gloves I have ever bought. They would be great for doing dishes, as I will be doing but also when doing the dirty duty jobs. Cleaning toilet & tub. Just make sure not to use the same ones haha! I would recommend these. Just keep in mind; I ordered a medium but I think they are a tad on the small side. I have skinny arms but if they were any bigger, the gloves would not fit or else just be too tight. You may want to size up. So read well before ordering.
