I even liked wearing them around the house without shoes as sometimes the hard tile floor in my kitchen would aggravate the tenderness in my heels. However, they do get sweaty and tend to slide around inside your shoes a bit, even with socks. That said, I work in fitness for a living, so there is a lot of movement going on. They might stay put better with more casual use.
