What doesn't work is mixing dry grain into overly wet substrate and hoping they even out during sterilization. What does work is preparing our grains by letting them soak, then boil, then bag and sterilize, ensuring that each grain is thoroughly hydrated in the process. We use locally sourced materials from here in the midwest. Oats from local farms, red sorghum milo from local farms, and rye from local farms.
