Mainly because you don’t have to charge them and you can switch between devices without having to re pair them every time. Also there more suited to gaming as well. I thought about getting the ifi Go Link or Go Link max as they have very strong reviews but the wire that connects them looked very flimsy to me especially given there prices so I looked for an alternative. I came across this from UGreen and was impressed by the robust looking design. The strong metal body, the braided cables, the snap together magnetic design and the ability to charge your device while listening to your headphones and finally the amazing price. When I received my product I found it to be just as strong as I hoped it would be. I plugged it into my phone and attached my Sennheiser open back headphones to play some music. The sound was fantastic with perfect stereo separation and not a hint of distortion. Also the volume was surprisingly loud. I couldn’t listen to them at full volume, it was too much for my ears. Recently I got some entry level austrian audio closed back headphones and found the volume not to be as high but still just loud enough for my taste at max volume. I like heavy metal to usually like it loud. One issue I had though was when I charged my phone overnight with the adaptor plugged in. It seemed to be charging just fine but in the morning my phone wasn’t working. I unplugged the device and plugged my phone into my charger again for an hour and when I came back to it it still hadn’t powered on. I had to keep the power button pressed down for a while until it turned back on again. This was really strange. I can only assume my phone must have either been drained by the device even though it was plugged into the charger or It had simply crashed due to the device being left plugged into. I do not know if the problem is with the product or my phone. Other people may not have the same issue but I have not attempted to charge my phone with it connected since as it isn’t necessary to leave it plugged into the charger anyway. I believe UGreen do a similar product without the usb charging bit so if you don’t need this additional feature I would probably have a look at that (cheaper) one instead as this product is fantastic otherwise. Is it as good as the ifi Go Link products?
