Item fitted perfectly although attention needs to be paid to get the lugs in the correct position in the handle, a thin screwdriver helped to locate them in. Review: Make sure you have the correct tools. - This product comes with an eyewatering price tag, but is well made, a miele original product and comes with instructions. In order to replace the spring mechanism you will need 15m and 20m Torx drivers, don't even attempt to undo the retaining screws with anything else. When I removed the cover for the spring mechanism the spring housing just fell out, so I can't comment on how easy it would be to remove if it had been in situ. The replacement part is covered in grease which should not be removed. The replacement part has to hook under the two lugs in the handle casting. This was impossible until I pushed a very thin shafted watchmakers screwdriver through the threaded hole directly above the lugs of the mechanism. Pushed down gently and the lugs dropped into the casting. Reassembled and handle is working as new.
