BUT he managed to unhinge a bottom rung and put a bead in his mouth! Those 3 straight wooden pieces on the bottom do indeed come apart. I see the glue, but it doesn’t hold well enough. I tested it for smoothness and looked for chipped paint, but did not think to test for sturdiness by pulling on it.
