My hair is fine so I don’t need to section it much but for anyone with thick hair you would have to section in fairly fine amounts as the brush bristles are quite short so won’t take a thick piece of hair easily, I think this is due to protection of skin from burning. Overall impressed so far, but can’t comment on durability as only had it a couple of days. Seems well made, and not heavy to hold. Also it rained the day I used it but hair stayed silky and straight just a bit of frizz on fringe, so happy with that. Getting an A+ from me so far!
