When we first got them, there was definitely an adjustment period. Our kids thought they could just stand there but you actually need to move the toothbrush back and forth to get the full effect. The two minute timer is extremely helpful and we make sure they brush for the full time. I wish the the vibrating motor was a bit stronger but for the price you cannot expect much more.
