Review: Way better than a traditional cast! - This was recommended by doctor for broken sesamoid. Way better than a traditional cast! It really helped. There is a little weight to it but it’s not bad. I wear a women’s size 6 shoe. I ordered this in the extra-small size and it fit perfectly. As of 10/23/25, you have to scroll down the page to see the size chart. It is not listed in the main listing photos at the top of the page (in the app). Simple hook-and-loop closures make this easy on, easy off. One thing I don’t like (but would have the same issue with a traditional cast) is how unevenly I walk with it on. So much so it started causing me hip and back pain. Completely by accident, I found something that attaches to the shoe of your good foot to help EVEN you UP. That item was a game changer. Doctors should recommend that item to patients whenever they recommend this boot.
Review: I can work in this!!! - If you've injured your ankle but don't have the luxury of actually being able to do "lite duty" at work or "rest" for 6 weeks, this is the solution! I recently started a new work contract - time off is not an option. Even if it was an option, bills don't take "time-off." A couple of weeks in, I went to stand up and heard and felt a "pop" in my ankle. Immediate pain and inability to bear weight on it. After a week of RICE (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) and white knuckling it through work, it started to feel back to normal. Well...last night at work, I went to stand-up from my computer, and I heard and felt the "pop" again. Panic mode initiated. I found out I have an avulsion fracture. Generally, these heal on their own. Surgery isn't required because of the location and size of the bone fragment; however, 6-8 weeks of rest and minimal weight bearing is recommended. Again - Not. An Option. This boot makes it possible and costs a fraction of what I would have paid if I'd purchased it through the doctor's office. Yeah, it's bulky, but it is STURDY! It puts my lace-up brace to shame! It compresses and stabilizes my ankle. It doesn't feel like my bones are rolling around or cracking, no ligaments pulling - it's stable. This, my friends, provides a nice space for my ankle to heal without putting me out of work. There's traction on the bottom like a regular shoe. The soul of the boot feels like a brand-new pair of shoes. Basically, you don't feel the floor, haha. Also, it's not heavy. I'm a size 9. I'm right on the line between a small and medium. I chose to go with the small and I'm glad I did. I think the medium would have been too bulky and gotten in my way. The boot came with 4 extra pads which seem useful in the even the boot is too big for you or if it rubs and irritates your foot/leg. I'm 5'5 and muscular - my calves are thick - and the Velcro is perfect for adjusting the boot to insure a good fit. Too lose? Tighten. Too tight? Losen. I love the adjustability. I haven't worn it at work yet and am interested to see how well it performs and stands up during a 12-hour shift in a hospital. I'm almost certain it's going to irritate me at some point, but it's worth it to be able to go to work, keep my job, and make money. Speaking of money, $42 isn't a bad price tag for the boot. I also appreciated that it could be delivered in the time frame I needed, which was ASAP. Thanks for reading, and happy healing!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Should I order a medium or large if I wear a ladies 8.5. -9**
A: I wear and 8 or 8.5 and I ordered a small. It fits perfect. A large would be way too big. It also comes with extra padding pieces that you will need to insert to protect your shin. I wore this boot for over 30 days and it helped me immensely. The boot is higher than a normal shoe, so I had to go buy an elevated shoe for the other foot. I found a cute wedge sandal that leveled me out. Good luck to you.

**Q: i need to order the liner**
A: Hey Holly...unfortunately we don't sell just the liner. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.

**Q: Can you drive while wearing this boot?**
A: With the boot on the right foot, one cannot drive. The ankle is immobilized so there is no way to finesse the gas pedal. Plus it is bulky and clumsy so I don't think you could move from gas to brake well. With the boot on the left foot you may be able to drive an automatic. That would be an individual choice with your physicians approval.

**Q: does this come with the sock and the boot? or just the boot alone?**
A: just the boot

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hallelujah! A Solution for Holding an Ice Pack on My Foot After Exercise / Physical Therapy!
*by S***D on October 16, 2016*

I am currently undergoing physical therapy for severe Plantar fasciitis and a bone spur that pokes up into my Achilles tendon. The therapy is designed to stretch and strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendons. So far, it has been pretty effective, with the next step, if the therapy isn't enough, being some serious surgery to remove the bone spur, with downtime in a cast for 16 weeks. The therapy consists of exercises that do cause a bit of pain and discomfort on their own, which requires icing down the ankle and heel area afterwards, just as playing tennis or hiking through the woods, or even going on a long walk requires. The problem with the icing, though, is that the long, narrow ice pack designed to wrap around the foot is quite difficult for me to secure correctly. My Physical Therapist said to put it in a pillowcase and tie it around my foot. I just can't get that to work. I've also tried securing it with an Ace bandage, but that is hard as well, since I am pretty inflexible and tall (this is part of the underlying cause of the Plantar fasciitis and bone spur). After seeing someone in a walking boot, I decided to try ordering one so that I could put the ice pack in the boot, then my foot in the pillow case, then tighten the boot around the ice pack. It works great! I ordered the XL boot even though my foot is a large size. Now I can comfortably wear the ice pack, and even walk around if I feel like it. Now I'm icing more frequently, and this makes doing my Physical Therapy exercises far more comfortable. Pros: • Inexpensive and built for wear outside and inside • Velcro straps and padding hold the ice pack securely • Lightweight Cons: • None
