It is very simple to put together but having 2 people put it together will make it easier just because of the size. My daughter weighs 75lbs and this bar is sturdy enough for her to throw her weight around, although I will say she can't swing in it full speed like an outdoor swing because it isn't anchored in the ground so the base slides around if she goes to high. But that is to be expected of any bar not anchored in the ground. It doesn't tilt up, stays flat, so very safe. It is also very easy to adjust the bar with one person doing it. The mat has also been nice to protect when my daughter falls or comes down from the bar.
