Review: Works Great in Tight Spaces - I put this ARGENDON dehumidifier in my crawlspace and it immediately made a noticeable difference in humidity levels. It’s compact but powerful, runs quietly, and the drain hose makes it super easy to set and forget. The 5-year warranty gives me peace of mind, and overall it feels like a solid, well-built unit that just works.

Within a couple days, my 650 sq ft basement reached my goal of 50-55% humidity. Before this dehumidifier, it was 75%. I tried other residential dehumidifiers, which totally didn’t work. This one is great. Well worth the money if you have serious humidity issues in a large open space. Seller (Argendon) had excellent customer service. I contacted them when the Merv filter for the dehumidifier arrived dented. They resolved the issue quickly. CONS: It’s doesn’t tell you the humidity level in the air. I bought a hygrometer for less than $10. Honestly, you can feel the difference in the air but I like to keep track. Not eligible for the ENERGY STAR REBATE = My electric company denied my rebate, saying this model (Shield 35M) isn’t listed on the Energy Star government website “Product Finder”. Sadly, I confirmed that is true. Not sure why it says energy-star certified in the ad.P If applying for an energy star rebate is important to you, consider the Argendon 35P model instead.

Seems like a great unit, but doesn't seem to shut off when set on 50% even though I am sure humidity levels are lower than that.
