When I turned my tester/detector on it detected the pulses from this energiser ate 3 times the distance than my previous one. I then performed my usual "touch test" and it is very powerful. I am using this to keep horses and bullocks away from a newly planted hedge and I have no doubt it will work.It was easy to install. It comes with an earth rod that screws into a mounting rod and so the unit sits safely on top of the earth rod and stays off the ground.
