The solid bronze handles are alarmingly hot to the touch so very careful handling when cooking is essential. I burnt my thumb when I first used this to cook rice. It is a great pleasure to polish this up till it is gleaming - the look of real copper is stunning. They are now making Tri-ply copper pans which are one third of the price of '90%' copper pots. (Tri-ply copper ranges now available at Sainsburys, J Lewis & M&S) I may go for a Tri-ply next time - the cost of the 'real thing' is insane. It is an extravagant luxury to have a genuine Mauviel pot - so get a small one - the bigger ones are simply OTT pricewise. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Redefines Awsome *by C***O on Reviewed in the United States on 8 June 2014* Yea, I up and splurged on a pot.
