Like others have said, if it's clumping, you're using too much. Using the typical bowl, I put in about 1/4 teaspoon of powder, then fill the bowl with HOT (135*) qatwey about 3/4 full. Swish, let sit 30 seconds, Swish, let sit two minutes. Test - if it's too tjiny, add A SMIDGE more powder, add more water if it's thick (eventually lumping). The water/powder balance can be tricky, but too much powder is more forgiving. It's easier to thin than to thicken. A LITTLE goes a LONG way. The big jar here is probably 2-3 weeks worth at a salon.
