My hair, which is shoulder length and easily tangles was virtually tangle free. I did find it was very thick and a bit hard to get out of the bottle. I ended up throwing away the pump and leaving the bottle upside down on the tub so that the conditioner stayed near the opening. It was still a bit hard to squeeze it out.
