At the time she was 40" tall and weighed about 48 pounds. (Big girl, I know.) This dress came to her knees and was just a tad long in the sleeves. I bought her the size 6.Fast forward almost a year and my daughter is now 51 pounds and 43.5" tall. This dress is now a tunic for her. If she were to wear it as a dress she would have Shirley Temple moments of flashing her undershorts.As for quality, great soft material that does not shrink when both machine washed and dryed. The design on the front is well done and actually sown onto the dress instead of just a glued applique.
