My 8 year old does not like shin guards with ankle straps, but the ones that just slip in his sock move around too much and bother him. Because of this, we were really excited to find this pair (no ankle strap, but does have straps to hold it in place around the calves.) The actual shin guards seemed to be of good quality, and my kids said they felt comfortable on. Unfortunately, the top strap was very long, and would not close tightly enough for either kid. Because of this, I believe we will have to return them. If the straps were a little shorter and more adjustable, we would have definitely kept these! In terms of sizing, we went by the height chart. The x-small were very tiny (too small for my 5 year old). The small would have worked for both my 5 and 8 year old (both a little shorter than average) if not for the strap issue. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Soccer Shin Guards for Kids! *by 1***T on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2018* I’ve seen quite a few soccer shin guards and these are great!
