Instead, these are flat cardboard that you tape together. Which, now that I go back to reread the listing, I do see that’s what is described; it just shows how good they look. And they do! I was able to tape them together in no time, and they are fairly sturdy. They do need to be taped to something, though; they can’t stand on their own. Overall, I’m very happy with this backdrop prop! ### ⭐ Wouldn't order. *by A***R on January 14, 2026* This was so cheap I couldn't even make it work for the photoshoot I had. I had to pivot and create something from cardboard. One of the sides was folded in on itself. The photos are deceptive. Very disappointed in this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Why the Holes? *by M***Y on November 17, 2024* I plan to use these Roman columns to decorate my classroom for an upcoming unit on ancient Roman civilization. In my head, I was looking for something that had hinges for folding. When I saw that this one had holes for “splicing“ I thought that’s what it might be. There seems to be no purpose for the holes unless you plan to put four thumb tacks at each connection. I personally think that would look tacky. The holes are not big enough for normal school fasteners/brads, so I’m a bit perplexed as to why they are even there. As other reviewers have said, these will need to be taped together and should be up against a flat wall for structure.
