Make it a nice deep score with a razor blade or utility knife on the veneer side or the side you will see and this helps keep that cut real clean. Combine this with the above step and you'll get a super clean cut. The blades will snap and dull out quick if you use them incorrectly. Trying to do scrolling with a real aggressive blade or pushing it too hard/fast through metal or heating it up will cause them to snap. This will happen to ANY jigsaw blade and I found these to be more resilient then most, but not indestructible. BONUS TIP: If you are using a blade where the curve is in the wrong direction for what you need, meaning it will tend to splinter the top side (the side you will see) of the work product, turn the product over and cut from the back, or if you can't turn the jigsaw over and use it upside down.
