That said, I bought these sandals to take on canoe trips into the wilds of Quetico, where they will get very hard use; they will be wet for much of the time, will need to have good traction on slippery rocks and be comfortable on rugged ground. I will update the review once I know how they perform in the wilds of Canada. Update: during the 10 days of hard use in Quetico, the sandals performed very well. They coped with being wet every day and being placed in the direct sun to dry. They didn’t get stinky.
